Only problem is they are also the most expensive colleges to attend to so if you are less fortunate you may need financial aid. This is why planning early becomes important. If you invested early in your child's 529 plan then when your child goes to college he or she will have the possibility to choose better colleges thanks to their 529 plans. College isn't cheap, especially the ones from the Ivy League so it's important that you start to head for your child so that they can go to these colleges wend time comes. I think there isn't a parent in the world that wouldn't want their child to get a higher education so investing early in your child's future is definitely important. Of course the decision of the college should entirely go to the child but if your financial situation didn't allow it, you may make it harder and probably the child will feel more pressure about which college admissions to take because their first choice was denied due to financial problems. |
