For many of us, the choice of studying 2 years or 4 years at college depends on affordability so in order to make your studies complete extra curricular activities may be useful. If you are somebody who is involved in many activities or organization related to your studies you could get a college credit transfer. It may seem interesting and it does have benefits but there is no recognition issue which has to be taken into consideration. If you have the minimum requirements than this solution may offer many possibilities. This doesn't necessarily save a lot of money but it does save you some time so you might want to consider this kind of option.

This is basically the state's way of congratulating you or rewarding you for taking action in different activities or organizations. If you participated in the music community then you could get a credit related to music courses. Basically whatever competence you have can be rewarded with a credit if you used that competence in an activity or organization. Isn't that great? You can get credits for your college studies by simply doing something you love. Although schools try to take interest in what you do, some schools may not show so much interest.

Unfortunately, your music talent may not be recognized by some institution for example health institutions. Whatever you do before college can be credited as long as the college accepts those competence. Some colleges do not accept these credits so you'll have to start from scratch like everybody else in those cases. More open schools do have recognition for many talents and if you are a talented person you should choose a school that will recognize your talents. Before being accredited, some colleges may have other requirements.

Since no two colleges have the same requirements you do need to get informed at their registrar. For example a more standard criteria would be a minimum GPA. Usually the minimum GPA they will ask is 2.0 which is the equivalent of a "C". Another type of criteria they could require is if you are transferring from another College would be to have 30 credits accumulated in your previous two years or four years college. But if you do meet the requirements then you have a lot of possibilities.

Well among one of those possibilities you can easily transfer from a school to another with a minimum of hassle. You may also want to look at colleges who are more easy going with college credit transfers because even if you do have a great record some colleges may make it hard for you to transfer because they feel that something must have happened in your old college for you to transfer. As ridiculous as it may seem, transferring can be a simple task if you have the right record.

There is no specific reason as to why a student will make the change. It could be because of loss of interest, lack of funds, time, commute and the list could go on. Bottom line is college credit transfer do exist and some people will not happen choice but to use them. If you do have a choice and you still want to go through with it, it's still ok but remember that not all colleges will recognize it and the odds of you losing time will increase if you do not know which college will recognize your college credit.
